CTF has launched a Real Food Challenge and link up for bone broth information and recipes that runs through Valentine’s Day. Come join us!
I promised on the CTF Facebook page that I would do another big giveaway when we hit 4,000 fans. So here we are!
One winner of this giveaway will receive a 52-week subscription to both the Menu Mailer and the Recipe Archive. One runner-up will receive a 13-week subscription to the Menu Mailer.
The Menu Mailer
The Menu Mailer covers five dinners (including side dishes), one breakfast, one soup and one dessert every week. It contains a full menu, shopping list, a preparation plan and serving suggestions for each meal. Tips and information are included in every mailer. Ingredients are seasonal for the United States or Australia, your choice.
What makes the Cooking Traditional Foods menu mailer unique? A preparation schedule is included with every menu mailer. It reminds you when to thaw the meat, prep the crock-pot, or soak the grains. Because lack of planning is a major hurdle in getting healthy meals on the table, this schedule helps you make sure everything is done. It also contains blanks so you can write in your own reminders for breakfast, snacks and lunches.
The Cooking TF Menu Mailer has the option for every meal to be gluten and/or casein free, so those with food allergies or who are new to having to cook for someone with allergies do not have to convert the recipe. It also contains suggestions for gluten and casein free brands on each shopping list to assist those new to allergy cooking.
The Recipe Archive
The Recipe Archive is a compilation of all of the recipes that have been posted to Cooking Traditional Foods website and old blog. All recipes are labeled for gluten and casein content, so allergic users can see at a glance which recipes might work for them. There are currently over 500 recipes archived in this collection.

I would really like to win this giveaway, because I am learning to cook more traditonal foods for my family. This giveaway could be INVALUABLE to me! Thank you!
I subscribe to your rss feed too! It’s on my google homepage!
I also recieve your newsletter through email! Thanks again!!!
I need to win this because we are relatively new to traditional foods (less than 6 months) and I’m at a loss on most days on what to have and sometimes how to prepare meals or how to incorporate fermented foods into our meal plan and well, tons of other stuff. I’m a former coupon queen, who bought loads of processed food for next to no money. Last winter, we ate a lot of Tyson or Hormel pre-cooked roasts, Betty Crocker instant potatoes and microwave in the bag veggies. Now, since I’m buying real food, I’m finding that it is taking up quite a bit of our budget, leaving little for extras – like a subscription to the menu mailer.

I’ve been in a food rut for the longest time, probably because my previous subscriptions have run out!
Gosh, I can’t remember how long I’ve been doing Traditional style foods, probably around 5 years. I think that my favorite dish would have to be the Moroccan beef with all those spices, so worth the effort!

I thought the black bean brownie recipe looked crazy, but gave it a try. They were great! I would love more kid & husband approved traditional recipes.
Blogged about it here: http://seksbuyingclub.wordpress.com/2011/10/19/cooking-traditional-foods/
I want to win to help me motivate and organize this full-time working outside the home mother of two schedule I am juggling. I want to share a recipe (uses bone broth) … got it from Donna Gates… 2 yellow onions sautéed in coconut oil, 2 packs of fresh asperagus cut off tops and save, cut rest in 1″ sections and boil in broth (2C) with onion for about 25 minutes, cool a bit, blend, add tops and 1tsp of sea salt and cook another 15 minutes.

I have started studying at the Institute for Integretive Nutrition to become a holistic health consultant and I would really like to experience your menu mailer so I can later refer others to it. I started cooking traditional foods about 6 months ago and didn’t really learn to cook until about 4 years ago. I love the food and my family feels healthy. I love to cook, but with a 2 and 4-1/2 year old, I’d do anything to streamline my kitchen time. Hoping to win!
I would love to win because I need a lot of help as I attempt to transition from a S.A.D. way of eating to a healthier one.

I’d love to win this giveaway because I really love your mailers and subscribed for a year, but had to quit to keep within our budget. I’m still using my old mailers, but would love to get in on some of the new stuff!
I have gotten pretty good at making bone broths but still struggle with everyday dinners. It is too easy to fall back to what is familiar (although I am getting better at adjusting to traditional foods). The menu mailer would help me find new recipes and \keep me in line\.

I would love to win this because I’ve been working on incorporating traditional foods into our life for many years – more than 30 years, and I still need help. It’s even more important to me now because of family illnesses that I know traditional foods will help.
I already follow CTF on Facebook.
And I’d love to win because our whole family became gluten-free in the last year, and I’m mostly casein-free and it’s very difficult for me to maintain staying away from both those things (and I stay away from soy).
Thanks!
Though we’ve been working on cooking TF and gluten-free for years, we just started doing your meal plans last week when I went back to work FT…we LOVE it already! It helps us so much – saving money by not buying food we don’t need, trying new foods, incorporating foods like broth in new and different ways…awesome!

I’ve been following CTF for about 1 year. My favorite recipe is the bone broth. I didn’t know how healthy it was! I’d like to win because while I was raised on traditional home cooking I fell into a rut making the same old meals and you’ve opened my eyes and taught me new things; like the bone broth. I eat mostly organic due to health issues and keeping meal choices vast now helps keep us out of the old rut. Thanks for opening eyes to the delights of REAL home cooking and like I tell my family and friends “Say NO to prepackaged meals! and YES to home cooking!”
I also get your email updates on my yahoo page.
We’ve been doing traditional foods for about 3 yrs now and I want to win because I LOVE trying new healthy ideas in the kitchen!

I would like to win the menu mailer because my husband has recently found out that he cannot tolerate gluten. I’ve been working toward traditional foods for about 2 yrs now and just got the hang of soaking grains, making my own bread products and having a pretty good TF menu plan. Now with the gluten problem, everything has changed. I need some help navigating the new foods and different ways to prepare them. Right now I’m cooking food for us and food for him and it’s expensive and tiring. I need some help.
